This week I want to talk about different elements regarding applying your spiritual gifts in every day life.
- Expect God to use you in your gifts.“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” 1 Corinthians 12:7. You are not given gifts to use them for yourself, no they are given to you to benefit the common good. This means in our church family (to build up the body) and outside of church (to confirm the message (Mark 16:17).
Look for opportunities to use your gifts. Be aware of where your gifts might be needed. It may be at school, at home, on the sports field, or at church. You never know, God may just want to use you to do a miracle, speak a prophetic word or encourage someone in their time of need. I think many of us don’t use our gifts as often as we would like because we are not EXPECTING God to use us, we are not looking for opportunities.
This week look out for opportunities to use your gifts!!! Tomorrow we’ll talk about, “How do I know if God wants me to use my gifts?”
